6. Pastor Jose’s Report & Prayer List: The last few weeks have been full of blessings and of course, there is always a challenge or two, but that’s part of leadership. We attended the Atlantic Union Youth Directors Advisory at Camp Cherokee, it is one of the most beautiful camps I’ve seen when it comes to natural resources, Pastor Dan Whitlow, Youth Director for New York Conference was an excellent host, had a great time fellowshipping and planning with the Youth Directors from the six Conferences in the Atlantic Union.

The Bronx Week of Youth Evangelism was awesome. The AY and Pathfinder Coordinators did an excellent job through the week and the results showed with 9 baptisms on Sabbath and lots of decisions. Awesome job, I love our Coordinators. You should’ve seen the Prayer Room and the fully packed sanctuary every night. Special thanks to the Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church, Pastor Z. and the leadership for being very hospitable and accommodating. The close of the week at the North Bronx Church was packed with Youth & Pathfinders from all over the Bronx. I had the privilege of sharing the pulpit with a young man, Kevin who did an awesome job on the theme “Be the Bridge.” It was also beautiful to share the baptismal pool with several colleagues in ministry and be part of a great youth baptism, a very moving moment.

We spent last weekend with student leaders of the different colleges and universities in New York, we went away to Montauk for a retreat to pray, study, plan, and fellowship as we go to the next level in ministry in the public campuses around Greater New York. Special thanks to the local university leaders who came out and to those who played a special role in the planning of the event, Alex, Annette, Liliya, Sean, and Pastor Todd. If you are a student at a College or University in NY and would like to start a ministry or small group there, please contact us.

PRAYER LIST
A few weeks ago I stopped to visit with my friend Pastor Steve Torres, his wife Debbie, and their kids. Pastor Steve is the Pastor of the Kinderhook and Livingston Churches in Upstate New York. He has been diagnosed with cancer, though it is tough on them, they were in great spirit. Let’s pray for Pastor Steve, I believe that God will do something great for him; during the trip we also visited and prayed for Mylaira Gonzalez, an 18 year old beautiful girl from the Kinderhook Church, who also has cancer. I would like to ask that we all begin to make a special time to pray for Pastor Steve & Mylaira during your Meetings and Prayer Services at the Pathfinder Club and AY. During our overnight stop in the Kinderhook area, little Joel fell and got three stitches at the Albany Memorial Hospital, he has recovered since and so have Joanne, Jose III, and I, stitches are gone.

I would also like you to pray for Joseph Arneaud, a young man from the Manor Road Church, in Staten Island, and his family. Joseph’s mother, Dainne has been missing for a few days and he asked me to request that everyone prays for her, we are praying for her safe return to her home and family. Please keep her, Joseph, and the family in your prayers. I’ll keep you up to date, as Joseph communicates with me.

Always keep us in your prayers, lots of love, and a Happy Sabbath!!!
