FYI from Pastor Jose Cortes Jr./Queens Youth Evangelism Begins Tonight

The eight Area-wide Week of Youth Evangelism sponsored and jointly organized by the Adventist Youth Ministries Department, AY Coordinators, Youth, Young Adults, and Area Pastors kicks off tonight in Queens. The previous ones have taken place in: Upstate New York, Bronx (2 weeks), Brooklyn, Manhattan (2 weeks), and Long Island.
The Week of Youth Evangelism in Queens, entitled “The Battle Within” will take place from Friday, December 12 to Saturday, December 20, 2008 at the Luso-Brazilian Seventh-day Adventist Church located at: 96-11 34th Avenue, Corona, NY 11368-1014. The programs begin each night with refreshments at 7:00 PM. The speaker for this special youth evangelism journey is Pastor Matthew Gamble.
The services will be in English (with Spanish and Portuguese translation through headphones if needed). We encourage youth and young adults from all the churches in Queens to take advantage of this spiritual experience. In order for the week to be of successful, youth and young adults must bring their friends, colleagues, and family members with them, those who are not Christians or have not been baptized yet, must attend. This will not be a regular week of prayer, it is a week of youth evangelism; where young people, together with Pastor Gamble will work, so more young people will accept Jesus and be baptized.
